Reading nooks make me blissfully happy

I want, wait I mean, I NEED all of these!

Gotta build me one of those. A book nook is required for all the reading I now have time for!

I want to be an author when I grow up. Am I insane?

Yes. Growing up is highly overrated.

Just be an author.

"We love books for what they carry within them, not for what they’re made of. The story is the thing; the physical book or ereader or tablet or phone is merely the delivery device. When you fetishize the physical properties of an object, you devalue its contents. When you freak out over the ‘destruction’ of books, you are not elevating books. You are reducing the intangible magic of stories to the ink, pulp, and glue that deliver them to you."

Books Are Not Sacred Objects  (via bookriot)

I felt a bit of sadness on first reading this, as I love to collect books, and love the idea of being able to walk over to a shelf and pick up a tangible story in the form of paper and ink bound together under a cover. Still, I’ve recycled many books, and no longer have delusions about their “sacredness” or any such thing. While I love the format of a paper book, so long as people are reading good books, I’m more than happy to see any format that they choose to read them on.

Mega Ran - Black Materia: The Remixes

Check it out! actually some pretty solid hip hop, as far as I’m concerned with it. PLUS Final Fantasy VII. My initial listen of the album has been great, and I highly suggest checking it out, or the originals even!

Now if there’s a FFVIII album eventually…
